Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in guiding, directing, and supporting the achievement of exceptional outcomes while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle processes at NorthShore Health Centers. This position encompasses all aspects of billing, collections, secondary billing, accounts receivable resolution, and cash flow management related to billing practices and the accurate presentation of Revenue Cycle performance.

This role requires close collaboration with various operational sectors within NorthShore Health Centers, including pre-service clearance, financial management reporting, patient satisfaction, Patient Access, coding, and payors. The aim is to implement innovative strategies that enhance the clinical, administrative, financial, and operational functions of NorthShore Health Centers.

The Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst will proactively seek opportunities to optimize revenue across the organization, focusing on transforming the patient experience while improving patient satisfaction and accountability for strategic business units that influence service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Billing and Collections processes.
  • Address Revenue Leakage, including Denials, Missing Charges, and Payment Variances.
  • Oversee the Patient Service Call Center operations.
  • Handle Cash Application procedures.
  • Facilitate Guarantor/Self-Pay Collections and Medicaid Eligibility assessments.
  • Conduct Payor Audits and Denial Resolutions.
  • Establish job parameters in collaboration with senior management.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues independently, taking proactive measures to address challenges.
  • Provide leadership and strategic recommendations to revenue cycle management.
  • Develop and implement operating and capital budgets, along with associated goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver regular updates and educational resources regarding industry benchmarks and best practices to Revenue Cycle management.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive patient and financial information as mandated by law and hospital policy.
  • Foster positive interactions with patients, families, staff, and vendors from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the success of patient experience initiatives and maximize patient revenue.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and succession planning in conjunction with senior management.
  • Participate in staff development initiatives to cultivate internal resources that align with the long-term objectives of the organization.
