Position Overview
Responsible for delivering effective instruction to students in designated courses while maintaining office hours for student support.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage with students. Proven experience in working with diverse student populations through formal training and previous employment. Capability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Physical Demands
May require lifting and transporting materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline for credit courses.
  • For workforce education courses: a blend of academic qualifications and three years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the specific teaching discipline for developmental courses, along with demonstrated competency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide students with a comprehensive course syllabus and engage in the evaluation of the instructional process.
  • Contribute to the development of the discipline by recommending resources, revising curricula, and suggesting teaching assignments.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate course records.
  • Engage in professional activities and responsibilities as agreed upon with the division leadership.
  • Participate in student advising and registration processes.
  • Utilize technology to enhance learning and manage records.
  • Adhere to professional commitments in line with the academic calendar.
  • Comply with institutional policies and regulations.
  • Support the college's mission through participation in planning and budget discussions.
  • Attend college committees and required meetings.
  • Engage in personal performance evaluations.
  • May collaborate with student organizations.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to foster interaction among various stakeholders.
  • Promote the institution within the community through various outreach activities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Complete mandatory professional development training hours annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
