• Possesses knowledge and capability to perform necessary tasks during emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
Cooks and prepares a diverse range of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and stocks according to the club's standard recipes, utilizing various equipment and utensils as outlined in the daily preparation list.
Primary Duties
• Conducts inventory of all items necessary for station setup and identifies those requiring preparation.
• Prepares food items in accordance with established recipes.
• Coordinates and times orders with other kitchen operations to ensure efficiency.
• Requests items needed for menu item production.
• Alerts Sous Chef of anticipated shortages.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas and equipment.
• Sets up, maintains, and dismantles the prep cook station.
• Properly covers, dates, and stores all reusable leftover products.
• Provides recommendations for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.
• Completes kitchen closing procedures using the designated checklist.
• Participates in kitchen staff meetings and contributes suggestions for enhancements.
• Assists with additional tasks as directed by the Sous Chef.
Licenses and Certifications
• Food safety certification is required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, and reaching.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Engages in continuous repetitive motions.
• Works in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
