Job Summary:

The Buyer ICoE is responsible for executing and coordinating strategic procurement activities for a variety of indirect goods and services. This role serves as the primary liaison for various business units within the organization, ensuring alignment with the Indirect Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders while promoting ICoE principles and procurement best practices.
  • Deliver exceptional service by engaging with business unit customers across various functions, including Facilities, Environmental Health and Safety, Food Services, Marketing, and Human Resources.
  • Assist in formulating sourcing strategies and managing purchase order processes.
  • Oversee indirect procurement contracts and services in collaboration with the relevant Commodity Manager, evaluating the best value options.
  • Identify customer needs for sourcing initiatives through the development of Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Facilitate the RFx process in partnership with business unit and ICoE procurement teams.
  • Lead negotiations for supplier contracts, including renewals and amendments, in alignment with business unit objectives.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives as part of the ICoE strategy.
  • Maintain and update existing contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure that the Office of Records is updated with the latest contract documentation.
  • Utilize supply chain management strategies to enhance performance metrics.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is required in:

  • Business

  • Related fields

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, program management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality when necessary.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and urgency in task completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments effectively.
  • Exposure to Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Six Sigma experience is a plus.
