Assembly Specialist

ResponsibilitiesEnsures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into sub-assemblies; mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic); installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping or swaging,connectors, or adhesives; and testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment. Interfaces with engineering, management,suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in developing and managing a statement of work on time and within budget
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Experience in a union environment with collective bargaining agreements, including skills in cost monitoring, project management, strategic planning, and new product introductions (NPI)
- Ability to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
