Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Retrofit Technician responsible for upgrading and modifying existing HVAC systems across commercial, residential, and industrial settings. This role requires proficiency in installing necessary upgrades or replacements, ensuring that the modified systems operate efficiently and comply with all applicable standards. The Retrofit Technician will also troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the modification process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and repair of HVAC equipment.
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance and service repairs as needed.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of package units, condensing units, air handlers, fan coil units, heat pumps, and other mechanical systems.
  • Collaborating with project managers and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Completing all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintaining daily timesheets.
  • Adhering to safe work practices in accordance with OSHA Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining similar commercial equipment, along with installation experience.
  • Universal CFC certification/EPA certification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary for work assignments.
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, move, and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and internet-based programs for work tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining a neat personal appearance and wearing a company uniform.
