Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Retrofit Technician responsible for upgrading and modifying existing HVAC systems in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. This role involves ensuring that all modifications are executed efficiently and comply with relevant standards. The Retrofit Technician will also troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the upgrade process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair HVAC equipment as needed.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and service repairs.
  • Possess a solid understanding of various HVAC systems, including package units, condensing units, air handlers, and heat pumps.
  • Collaborate with project managers and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain daily timesheets.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and installing commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Universal CFC certification/EPA certification.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with hand tools and testing devices necessary for HVAC work.
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work at heights and climb ladders.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and internet-based programs for work tasks.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
