Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Retrofit Technician who will play a crucial role in upgrading and modifying existing HVAC systems in various settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This position requires expertise in installing necessary upgrades or replacements, ensuring that the modified systems operate efficiently and comply with all applicable standards. The Retrofit Technician will also be tasked with diagnosing and resolving any issues that may arise during the retrofit process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and repair of HVAC equipment.
  • Support preventative maintenance and service repairs as needed.
  • Possess a solid understanding of package units, condensing units, air handlers, fan coil units, heat pumps, and other mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain daily timesheets.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in accordance with OSHA Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and installing similar commercial equipment.
  • Universal CFC certification/EPA certification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with the safe operation of hand tools and testing devices.
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Proficient in using mobile devices and internet-based applications for work tasks.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
