About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Law Office Assistant to join our team at DAVID SIMMONS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm or similar environment, with a strong background in estate planning and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, preparing and drafting legal documents using HotDocs and dictation equipment.
  • Maintain accurate filing and records systems, ensuring seamless access to important documents.
  • Prepare mailings and documents for recording and court filings, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, machines, and software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Time Matters.
  • Communicate complex information and ideas clearly and concisely, utilizing excellent analytical and writing skills.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 2-year or 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a law firm or similar professional environment.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning and administration, with a focus on trust and estates law.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to produce high-quality work product.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
