Patient Service Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at 223 Aurora Medical Group, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to routine requests for information and answering telephone calls.
- Register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays and deductibles, and update demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule patient appointments, coordinate cancellations, reschedules, and additions to schedules, and provide accurate information regarding test preparations and patient arrival times.
- Ensure accurate and complete insurance and patient information, applying knowledge of government and third-party payer requirements.
- Identify, report, and resolve problems regarding registration to appropriate individuals and departments.
- Monitor patient flow to ensure efficient and courteous care, offering assistance with transportation, directions, and other needs.
- Perform visit closure, checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing visit summaries.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- No experience required, but excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar applications, and electronic mail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Working Conditions:
- Exposed to normal medical office environment, may be exposed to potentially ill patients.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
