Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee our company's financial operations and account personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and safeguarding all accounting records, gaming documents, and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and safeguard all accounting records, gaming documents, Title 31 logs and reports, and financial reports.
  • Assist independent and internal auditors as required.
  • Ensure proper accountability for all fixed assets.
  • Manage accounting department employees, including hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure reconciliation of all bank accounts and funds.
  • Review accounting entries to ensure all general ledger account balances are current and accurate at the end of the month.
  • Review and update month-end accrual entries and reconciliation schedules for accuracy.
  • Review receipts and disbursements to determine cash position, and prepare necessary journal entries, and cash transfers.
  • Ensure proper and accurate completion, timely submission, and proper file maintenance of reports sent to the IRS for Title 31, Income Tax withholding, Tip reporting, Payroll, and Vendor information forms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis).
  • Certification: CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Controller or similar position.
