Exciting Opportunity in the Construction Industry

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed.

• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, monitoring internal controls and identifying potential risks or issues.

• Supervise a team of financial staff, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements, ensuring they comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems.

• Participate in audits and liaise with external auditors as required.

• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and legislative changes that may impact our financial operations.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, with proven experience in monitoring internal controls and managing risks.

• Previous experience in a supervisory role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards in the Mortgage industry.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and to work effectively under pressure.
