Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to join Jobot's Finance Department and play a key role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounting teams, coupled with a strong knowledge of the real estate industry and Yardi software.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to leave a significant impact on our growing company.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, direct, and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including the month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and check runs.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Utilize Yardi software to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and the executive management team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting position, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Proven experience with the Yardi software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Proven ability to direct and supervise.
