Position Overview

The Case Manager position plays a vital role in supporting various assistance programs, including those focused on migrants, utility aid, and holiday support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of programs aimed at helping immigrants transitioning from Mexico into Texas.
  • Evaluate client eligibility for available services.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to assess client progress and develop exit strategies.
  • Provide comprehensive intake, screening, and direct case management services to clients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and case notes to comply with standards and reporting requirements for grants and donors.
  • Input data into the agency's database and spreadsheets, while coordinating, tracking, and reporting on service activities and outcomes.
  • Organize travel arrangements, including bus and airfare, for clients to reunite with their sponsors.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • The ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • A four-year degree in social work or a related field is preferred, although significant relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
Work Schedule:

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
