About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Development Educator to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities in our Expanded Learning Programs. As a Program Instructor, you will mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting, creating a safe and emotionally supportive environment.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to impact the community, promote resilience, and make a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, plan, and execute lesson plans that support school day learning
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
  • Model Bay Area Community Resources' Best Practices
What We Offer
  • Estimated salary: $21 per hour
  • Paid BACR holidays
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.
  • Off holidays, summers, and weekends

Requirements
  • An Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
  • No experience required
  • Available Monday through Friday 20 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
  • Ability to reliably commute to Richmond
  • Commitment to social justice and leadership
  • Passionate about learning and youth development: K-12
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
