Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to serve as our Child Life Specialist and Nurse Practitioner Leader. The successful candidate will facilitate patient flow, coordinate activities, and communicate effectively with the clinical area nursing unit during their assigned shift. As a member of our pediatric emergency department team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate patient flow and coordinate activities with the clinical area nursing unit">
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals">
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction">
  • Serve as a resource and leader for patients, staff, health care providers, administration, and other disciplines">

Requirements: A minimum of three years of clinical experience, including charge nurse experience or supervisory experience. Diploma or associates degree from a professional nursing program recognized and approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing is required. Certification in specialty areas such as pediatrics or critical care is also preferred. Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited program is a plus. You will be expected to practice within the boundaries of regulations governing the practice of nursing in Virginia and follow established national nursing practice standards.
