Job Title: Brain Injury Resource Facilitator

At Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Brain Injury Resource Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and resources to individuals with brain injuries and their families.

Job Summary:

The Brain Injury Resource Facilitator will work closely with residents of Valor on the Fax, a 72-unit permanent supportive housing building for individuals experiencing homelessness with brain injuries or related disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance, support, and hope while navigating resources, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary assistance to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address immediate client needs and provide support in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to maintain an up-to-date inventory of resources and establish new connections.
  • Provide education and training to clients, support networks, and professionals on brain injuries and related topics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective strategies to support residents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges.
  • Knowledge of community, state, and federal resources for brain injury and related disabilities.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel within the region.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CBIS certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) or proficiency in other languages.
