Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge and innovative thinking to craft customized solutions that meet the evolving demands of the VA.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity in requirements and expectations.
  • Participate in client engagements to gather and document technical specifications.
  • Analyze client needs and challenges to propose viable product and service solutions that address specific issues.
  • Design and implement reusable frameworks and operational concepts tailored for the VA market.
  • Integrate various micro solutions into a cohesive overall strategy.
  • Lead the solution development team, effectively communicating client expectations and guiding the technical implementation process.
  • Evaluate the maturity of capture and proposal engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with the capture team to establish a strategic roadmap that incorporates industry best practices, including Cloud Architecture, CI/CD, Test Automation, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are compliant with customer requirements and adhere to security and technology standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in a technical domain, particularly in software development and modernization, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and automation.
  • A minimum of 8 years in architecting high-performance systems critical to national missions.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, adept at integrating diverse technologies into effective solutions.
  • 5 years of experience in creating and delivering complex presentations that effectively communicate solutions to clients.
  • 5 years of experience in supporting technology initiatives within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders, providing technical leadership and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional client service.
  • Familiarity with the VA healthcare sector, including IT product impacts, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and security protocols.
  • Capability to obtain a security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex technical proposals for federal opportunities in the VA health sector.
  • Knowledge of frameworks for systems modernization using integrated DevSecOps and test-driven development.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies across multiple product-centric teams.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies.
  • Experience in integrating SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud Architecture, Software Development, SAFe, ITIL, or DevSecOps.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $122,200.00 to $227,000.00 annually.
