Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and directing the construction process to ensure timely and cost-effective restaurant openings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Visits
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and governmental codes.
    • Analyze construction process issues and provide solutions to ensure acceptable performance levels.
  • Internal and External Advising
    • Interpret construction contract documents and provide advice to franchisees, architects, general contractors, and city officials.
    • Review prototype plans for construction detailing, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
    • Counsel franchisees on construction, equipment, and change order processes.
  • Project Documentation
    • Maintain accurate project documentation for future improvements and cost reduction.
    • Track and document construction cycles and milestones using established reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a construction project manager or job superintendent.
  • Experience working within a franchisor organization, preferably in the quick-service industry.

Skills

  • Strong negotiating and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Work Environment

Most positions are located at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, with a hybrid work schedule. Additional in-office time may be required to support team needs.
