Job Title: Construction Project Manager

JRM Construction Management is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities, ensuring the highest quality, and successfully completing projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including master schedules, 60-day look ahead schedules, and two-week look ahead schedules.
  • Implement and maintain corporate safety program requirements on all projects.
  • Coordinate with project superintendents to ensure timely delivery of materials and preparation of contract items lists and shop drawing schedules.
  • Attend weekly meetings with foremen and superintendents to discuss project progress and address any issues.
  • Prepare daily construction reports and ensure risk controls are properly established and maintained.
  • Communicate with project teams to ensure updates on project status and address any issues that may arise.
  • Establish and maintain document control systems to ensure work is installed in accordance with the latest design documentation and approved shop drawings.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly status reports for clients.
  • Ensure required permits and approvals are secured, posted, and renewed as required.
  • Work with project managers to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during the preconstruction phase.
  • Participate in development and final review of scope, buy-out, and schedule.
  • Research and review owner, landlord, city/state requirements or procedures to avoid project delays, ensure safety, and/or ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
  • Oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
  • Work with project managers to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets cost and time requirements.
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
  • Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all issues are addressed and executed in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Requires an Engineering, Construction Management, or related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of related experience.
  • Requires 7+ years of experience working on core/shell projects, with previous hotel experience a plus.
  • Requires working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings, and other documents required.
  • NYC Buildings Construction Superintendent License.
  • 10-Hour OSHA and 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate.
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate.
Computer Systems:
  • Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Timberline.
