Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
The Director will:
1. Spearhead strategic communications for critical university initiatives, particularly those linking funding priorities with broader institutional goals.
2. Develop and implement strategic communication plans that support fundraising efforts, proposals, and priorities aligned with the university's strategic vision.
3. Oversee high-level projects, focusing on donor proposals exceeding $1M and complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with development officers and advancement staff to create strategic plans for engagement initiatives and donor events.
5. Work closely with university leadership and faculty to generate concepts, conduct thorough research, and produce compelling communications and proposals.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience in communications and public relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional writing and editing capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong collaborative communication skills, enabling effective teamwork with diverse colleagues.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles, ideally within a higher education context.
- Proficiency in project coordination and leadership, with a focus on executing strategic initiatives.
