Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. This is a hybrid position based at our Baltimore location, requiring three days of on-site work each week.

The University of Maryland Medical System is an academic private health system committed to delivering high-quality care and innovation in practice. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in developing and implementing effective human resource programs, policies, and initiatives to sustain a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to develop and execute HR plans and strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide consulting support to enhance a performance-based culture in assigned areas, including performance management, workforce engagement, total compensation, and human resources development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership groups and employees, offering guidance on HR issues and providing counsel on employment law concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce engagement and develop action plans to implement change.
  • Lead special projects and human resource initiatives, such as organizational restructuring, strategic planning, change management, leadership development, and conflict resolution.

Requirements:

  • Three years of progressively responsible Human Resource experience, preferably in employee and labor relations, with emphasis on healthcare or human service organizations.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in HR, such as PHR or SPHR, is a plus.

Compensation:
