POSITION: EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in building rapport with students and collaborating with colleagues.
- Capable of assisting in the educational guidance and oversight of students.
- NCLB Qualified (Associates Degree or Para Pro Test (Praxis)).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish positive relationships with students and staff.
- Report directly to the curriculum supervisor.
- Engage in professional development workshops, training sessions, and meetings as organized by the curriculum supervisor or program director.
- Support the teacher in instructional activities and program execution.
- Assist in providing tailored instructional services.
- Help prepare educational materials.
- Organize learning environments.
- Be accountable to school administrators for non-instructional responsibilities as per guidelines.
- Participate in program assessments and evaluations.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Fall River Paraprofessionals contract. Employment is subject to job performance, program requirements, and funding availability. The salary structure includes a 183-day work year, with 210 paid days annually (inclusive of vacation and paid holidays).
Current Salary Ranges: $18.87 to $20.14 per hour.
Salary Ranges: $19.92 to $21.19 per hour.
