Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and social interactions among children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by supervising activities, maintaining a healthy environment, and attending to their basic needs.
- Recognize and cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of each child, providing additional support or challenges as needed.
- Observe and evaluate children's development, keeping records, and communicating progress to parents/guardians through regular reports or conferences.
- Encourage family involvement in their child's education by facilitating open communication, organizing events, and providing resources to support learning at home.
- Embrace diversity by fostering an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates cultural differences among children and families.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to remain current on best practices, teaching strategies, and child development research.
- Support compliance with MA EEC licensing regulations and NAEYC Quality Standards.
- Work collaboratively with other caregivers, educators, specialists, and staff to create a cohesive learning environment that meets the needs of all children.
- Knowledge obtained through a combination of education and experience meeting EEC standards; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
- Nine months of work experience in an early education setting, preferred but not required.
- Skill in interacting appropriately with children, clients, and colleagues.
- Ability to meet the EEC minimum hiring requirements for an infant/toddler or preschool teacher.
- Experience working in an NAEYC accredited program is a plus.
