Role Summary:
  • The Community Engagement Resource Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering connections with community members, various departments, and the staff of GTT, LLC, along with community-based organizations, governmental bodies, and service providers.
  • This position is essential in enhancing communication and engagement efforts aimed at increasing participation in community programs and providing valuable information regarding health and wellness initiatives.
  • Acts as a vital contributor to marketing and promotional strategies that align with operational objectives.
  • Adheres to established processes to guide members in accessing services that support their healthcare journeys, ultimately aiming for improved health outcomes.
  • Facilitates understanding of healthcare access challenges, identifies resource requirements stemming from member inquiries and assessments, and directs individuals to the appropriate resources for expert assistance.
  • Offers continuous support and follow-up for members in specific cases.
  • Collaborates with various departments to deliver customer service, social services, care management, health education resources, and member engagement initiatives, leveraging product knowledge and business insights.
  • The community resource centers cater to all individuals in the vicinity, thus this role will assist in referral processes to connect non-member cases with suitable external resources and engage with key stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.
  • Contributes to the planning, execution, and evaluation of community resource center services, programming, and vendor relations.
  • This position may involve supporting special projects by following directives and guidelines to ensure successful implementation of community initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: (25%)
  • Facilitates member-focused customer service to address inquiries and connect individuals with appropriate resources.
  • Provides guidance to educate members, community residents, and stakeholders about health education programs, benefits, and available resources.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop resource guides and reference materials, ensuring effective identification of member needs in complex scenarios.
  • Identifies service gaps and proposes new program initiatives to enhance community offerings.
  • Participates in daily operations, including managing the center's schedule and inventory, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Maintains the community resource center calendar and coordinates appointments.
  • Prepares meeting spaces and provides support services as required.
  • Handles incoming calls professionally and promptly.
Customer-Centric Focus: (25%)
  • Delivers high-quality in-person service and accommodates extended hours to assist members and visitors requiring services beyond standard operating times.
Collaborative Engagement: (20%)
  • Supports community initiatives by maintaining strong relationships within GTT, LLC and with external stakeholders to promote access to health programs and services.
  • Shares insights with other departments regarding services and activities that resonate with the community.
Outreach and Community Involvement: (15%)
  • Fosters relationships with key stakeholders and acts as an ambassador for the community resource center.
  • Establishes connections with community leaders, communicates needs to management, and utilizes data to inform outreach strategies.
  • Assists in planning and executing member engagement activities to boost participation in community services.
  • Provides feedback to enhance community connections to health education programs.
  • Supports marketing efforts through various channels to increase community engagement.
Strategic Initiative Implementation: (15%)
  • Assists in executing special projects by defining responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitors project risks and offers recommendations for management to mitigate challenges.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of project progress and reports status updates.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. (10%)
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree; equivalent experience may be considered.
Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months in community-focused roles related to healthcare or public health.
  • Experience in operations, community events, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with data entry and reporting processes.
Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Training Requirements:
  • Mandatory: CPR and California Mandated Reporter training within 90 days of hire.
