Human Resources Admin Job Description

Overview:

Penske Motor Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Admin to join our team. This is an entry-level, full-time, hourly, non-exempt position that is perfect for someone who wants to enter the field of Human Resources. We are looking for a best practices team member who will uphold the values of the Penske Way for the business and our team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage various HR-related documents, ensuring accuracy and accessibility, and implement efficient filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
  • Maintain communication boards to ensure accuracy with compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Generate HR-related reports and analytics as needed, utilizing HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to extract relevant data for analysis and decision-making.
  • Support HR initiatives related to employee training and development, coordinating training sessions and maintaining organized records of training attendance and completion.
  • Maintain personnel records and file room, including gathering, organizing, and filing paperwork and employee records.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, organizing and filing benefit-related documentation.
  • Send out weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly announcements to the team.
  • Conduct various administrative audits, create, and update spreadsheets and other documents needed.
  • Update job descriptions and other various projects for the department.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to travel to other Company locations to facilitate trainings and participate in HR projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be organized, action-oriented, see big vision, and collaborative with all levels of the organization.
  • Must maintain the utmost professionalism and discretion in this role.
  • Minimum of six (6) months customer service experience, desired.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language, work well with the public.
