Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team at Northshore. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures.
  • Position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, being attentive to eye contact, facial/body expressions, and tone of voice.
  • Explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
  • Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot problems related to software.
  • Must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certification.
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred.
  • Advanced techniques, including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred.
  • Previous MRI experience, required.
