Job Summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specific body areas requested by physicians.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Move x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Obtain patients' pertinent medical histories.
  • Maintain crash carts and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other projects and duties as related to department objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • AART registration or eligibility and IDNS licensure.
  • CPR certification.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work evening and holiday shifts with responsibility for the operation of the department. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will assist and relieve the manager in expediting patient workflow through the department.
