Job Summary

The Medical Records Specialist- Home Health role at Cantex Continuing Care Network is a dynamic position that requires strong organizational and communication skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating communications functions and providing clerical support to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including creating and updating spreadsheets using Excel.
  • Assist with order management by comparing incoming orders with outstanding orders to keep patient files updated.
  • Prepare orders for documentation and deliver/pick-up orders to physician offices as needed.
  • Document all responses, including name, time, date, and additional information.
  • Schedule weekly follow-ups on calls and visits using coordination notes.
  • Provide clerical support, including preparation of admission, orientation, and new hire packets, monitoring and ordering office supplies, and typing.
  • Promote the agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients, families, physicians, and community agencies.
  • Provide computer support and data entry, establish and maintain effective filing systems, and compile/prep reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience using Home Care Home Base.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • 1 year of general office experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to type 40 to 50 WPM.
  • Experience with customer service over the phone.
  • Reliable transportation.
