Outside Plant Engineering Specialist

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer to support our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of outside plant installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Support the creation of line setup specifications and oversee fiber, cable, and line extensions.
- Conduct both desktop and field surveys to assess project requirements and estimate costs.
- Develop cost estimates based on pre-design models and assist in planning new outside plant network structures.
- Manage permitting processes with various governmental agencies.
- Collect and analyze field data to ensure accurate project tracking.
- Oversee construction activities and manage remote site materials, ensuring safe storage and proper tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to meet project deadlines.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Google Maps/Earth, AutoCAD, ESRI, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications practices and construction services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret legal land descriptions and easement agreements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license required.
Education:
- High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in telecom project management is preferred.
