Animal Care Specialist II

Job Summary:
As an Animal Care Specialist II at Henry Ford Health, you will play a vital role in the care and maintenance of various laboratory animal species within our animal care facility. Under moderate supervision, you will perform a variety of routine tasks, including feeding, cleaning, and providing a safe and healthy environment for our animals.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional care and attention to detail in the daily maintenance of animal enclosures and facilities
Assist in the feeding, watering, and cleaning of animal habitats
Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management
Maintain accurate records of animal care and facility maintenance
Requirements:
High school or G.E.D. graduate
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an accredited animal care facility, preferred
AALAS ALAT certification preferred
Possession and maintenance of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license and satisfactory driving records
