The Oncology Care Associate II plays a vital role in the patient care delivery team, providing technical and multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this role involves delegating tasks based on patient and unit needs. The Oncology Care Associate II reports all deviations from expected patient parameters to the Registered Nurse, ensuring a high level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to establish a healing environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
• Provide physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Perform general clerical duties, such as answering telephones, maintaining departmental files, and ordering equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSH, and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a school of practical nursing, a Certified Nurse Assistant Program, a Medical Assistant Program, or equivalent training.
• Ability to successfully complete the basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring class.
Preferred:
Previous hospital experience.
