Job Description and Duties

At the Department of State Hospitals, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Technician to join our team. As an Office Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records and reports for regulatory and accreditation agencies.
  • Compile and analyze performance improvement data to inform decision-making.
  • Perform a range of office clerical duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and providing administrative support to staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date office files and records.
  • Develop and implement effective filing systems and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute.
Working Conditions:

As an Office Technician, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to follow current face covering guidance as issued by CDPH while working on-site.

Special Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed.
  • Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired.
  • Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
