We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Phlebotomy Technician to join our team as a Front Office Clerk at Huntington Hill Imaging Center. As a key member of our medical support staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our MRI and CT departments.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments
- Take patients to changing rooms, instruct them to change into gowns, and take medical histories
- Start IVs and perform iSTAT tests as needed
- Explain exams to patients and set up patients on CT and MRI scanners
- Assist with difficult patients and exams, and book, coordinate, and reschedule appointments
- Greets and checks in patients, verifies information, and records in medical records
- Maintains and updates schedules, answers phones, and provides information to patients and staff
- Assembles patient charts, updates profiles, and types correspondence as directed
- Oversees waiting areas, coordinates patient movement, and reports problems or irregularities
- Checks email daily, turns on computers, and turns off computers at the end of the day
- Orders supplies as needed and attends meetings as required
- Maintains patient confidentiality and performs related work as required
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) issued by the CDPH
- CPR certification
- High school graduation or GED
- One year of work experience in a medical office or imaging center setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and work independently as part of a team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain patient confidentiality
