Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cocktail Server to join our team at Live Nation Entertainment. As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience at our venues.

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs, providing personalized service and ensuring that their expectations are met.
  • Suggestively sell beverages and menu items, taking orders and communicating with the bar team to ensure seamless service.
  • Answer guest questions, make recommendations, and up-sell liquors, promoting our premium drinks and menu offerings.
  • Communicate drink orders to the bar team through our Point of Sales system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Deliver drinks, maneuvering trays through large crowds and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain a line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout your shift, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for our guests.
  • Remove dirty glasses and dishes from tables, including the lifting and moving of bus tubs up to 25lbs.
  • Keep tables clean and wiped, ensuring a clean and inviting environment for our guests.
  • Clean spills, remove food, trash, or other obstacles from the floor, using proper lifting techniques to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Follow housekeeping standards per HOB policy, ensuring that our venues are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Keep current on all standard operating procedures, staying up-to-date on our policies and procedures to ensure seamless service.
  • Request identification from any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age, adhering to our responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, alcohol awareness training, and HOB alcohol policies, promoting a safe and responsible drinking environment.
  • Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of the manager.
  • Receive payment and process cash, credit card, or Travelers check transactions according to HOB policy, ensuring accurate and efficient payment processing.
  • Ensure that comp and void checks are processed according to HOB policy, maintaining accurate records and adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • Assist other servers and staff as needed, providing support and ensuring seamless service.
  • Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue, adapting to changing circumstances and ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  • Ability to work late hours
  • Flexible schedule
  • Working knowledge of cocktail tray service, basic food service, responsible alcohol service, drink recipes, and garnishes, point of sales systems
  • 3 years' work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  • Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner
Preferred:
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience recognizing valid IDs
  • Experience in a live music environment
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25lbs using proper lifting techniques
