Position Summary

Search Marketing Associate Director

In the role of Search Marketing Associate Director, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy and overseeing the planning, optimization, and reporting of SEM campaigns for Digitas clients. Your expertise will also facilitate the integration of SEM with various other marketing capabilities.

  • Acting as the primary contact for clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Defining and communicating the agency's perspective on customer segmentation and media strategy execution
  • Managing the strategic elements of integrated SEM campaigns alongside other digital and traditional media
  • Overseeing the creation of program strategies and analyses for clients, including audience targeting and scheduling strategies
  • Accountable for the testing schedule, learning agenda, and performance forecasts
  • Extracting insights from program results and keeping clients and internal teams informed about strategic implications
  • Identifying and addressing client challenges while uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Responding to client inquiries related to media and serving as the main point of contact
  • Managing assigned accounts within the media department with minimal supervision, including media planning, negotiations, implementation, and performance analysis
  • Collaborating closely with account, creative, and measurement teams to ensure alignment of media plans with client needs and quality standards
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff, providing ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and career guidance
  • Encouraging teamwork, delegating tasks, and implementing an effective task management system
  • Delivering innovative solutions to client challenges; demonstrating resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • Building relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders while managing multiple client interests
  • Understanding broader implications and applying insights across various programs and channels
  • Engaging in active knowledge sharing within the agency and across capabilities
Qualifications

We seek candidates with:

  • A four-year degree and 7 to 9 years of experience in digital media, with at least 6 years in SEM
  • In-depth knowledge of the digital landscape and a comprehensive understanding of the media planning and buying process, including expertise in multi-channel strategies and DoubleClick Search
  • Strong familiarity with media research tools, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, and knowing when to utilize them effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a data-driven approach to achieving goals
  • Solid quantitative and research skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and convey insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with Tag Management Solutions, DMP, MTA, and Site Analytics tools
  • A strong grasp of client objectives and their translation into search and media strategies
  • Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to lead discussions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, characterized by poise and clarity
  • A willingness to travel as necessary, embracing new experiences and ideas
