Member Services Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a reputable Credit Union to find a skilled Member Services Specialist. This role is vital in engaging with members, delivering outstanding service, and nurturing strong connections. As the main point of contact for members, you will play a key role in providing a wide array of services, educating members about available options, and ensuring their requirements are addressed with accuracy and care.

The ideal candidate for the Member Services Specialist position is a friendly and dependable individual with a minimum of one year of experience in the banking sector and a sales background. They are adept at providing exceptional customer service, managing various tasks efficiently, and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in cash handling and business software, along with a dedication to maintaining confidentiality and contributing to team objectives, makes them an excellent fit for this dynamic position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary contact for members, delivering exceptional service and addressing their needs across all communication channels.
  • Actively participate in branch, departmental, and organizational meetings to contribute to goals and strategies.
  • Protect member and organizational information by adhering to strict confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, to provide precise information and resolve inquiries.
  • Efficiently process teller transactions and regularly reconcile cash drawers to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and respond to member feedback and questions with thorough and accurate information.
  • Proactively recommend and align credit union products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
  • Assist members in completing membership and loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain and update account files and member profiles to ensure all information is current.
  • Support operational audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a banking environment; a background in sales is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Experienced in cash handling and using cash handling machines.

Work Environment: On-site position.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Hours: 4 weekdays/week and Saturdays.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
