Role Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our rehabilitation department. The PTA will operate under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients in their journey to regain physical mobility, strength, and overall functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to patient welfare.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Physical Therapist in executing individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, massage techniques, and other modalities as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Track patient progress and communicate any significant changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercises and activities to promote continued recovery.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient interactions, including treatment sessions and progress reports.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and hygienic environment for both patients and staff.
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to deliver comprehensive and patient-focused care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (or eligibility for licensure).
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient care.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or rehabilitation environment is advantageous.
