We are currently seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to spearhead our Survey division in our office.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit and oversee field survey personnel.
- Coordinate and schedule surveying and construction staking assignments in collaboration with our site design team.
- Conduct comprehensive and professional evaluations of survey projects and construction layouts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and specifications.
- Identify and cultivate marketing prospects for new projects while managing estimates.
- Draft contracts and change orders, along with analyzing legal descriptions and title documents.
- Execute survey plan design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Perform field survey tasks, including data collection and boundary evidence verification, as well as construction staking on a part-time basis until additional staff is onboarded.
- Develop, review, and stamp survey deliverables across a range of services, including Mapping Services, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Utility Easements.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
- A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in land surveying and construction staking.
- Possession of a California Land Surveyor license or a license from another state with the capability to obtain a California license within six months.
- In-depth knowledge of California survey laws and methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Newforma, and the Microsoft Office Suite for all survey-related aspects of civil design files, along with the ability to interpret civil design plans.
