Job Overview

raSmith is seeking a highly experienced Land Survey Project Manager - Crew Chief to lead our Survey Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and scheduling surveying and construction staking projects, providing thorough analysis of survey projects, and developing marketing opportunities for new projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise field surveyors to ensure high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain marketing opportunities for new projects, including procuring estimates and preparing contracts and change orders.
  • Provide thorough, professional analysis of survey projects and construction layout, including compliance with project scope, requirements, and goals.
  • Perform survey plan design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil3D, adhering to raSmith standards and local laws, codes, and ordinances.
  • Develop, draft, QC, and stamp survey deliverables, including mapping services, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary surveys, and more.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
  • At least 10 years of extensive experience in land surveying and construction staking.
  • California Land Surveyors license or licensed in another state with the ability to acquire CA license within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of California survey laws and methodology.
  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD Civil3D, Newforma, and Microsoft Office Suite.
