Responsibilities of the Educational Support Specialist:
- Assist students in accessing educational resources
- Accompany students during lunch, special classes, and various activities
- Share accountability for effective classroom management and student engagement
- Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons, fostering student development, and addressing behavioral needs
- Step in for teachers during their absence, potentially taking on teaching responsibilities
- Implement and monitor services and accommodations as specified in students' Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Positive Behavior Intervention Plans (PBIP)
- Obtain Level I TA certification within 6 months with provided support and tuition reimbursement
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- Company-paid Life Insurance
- Long and Short Term Disability coverage
