We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Peer Academic Mentor to join our team at Clayton State University. As a Peer Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their writing-intensive courses.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with faculty members to provide writing support to students in their classes.
- Assist students in developing their writing skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Facilitate small group workshops and one-on-one tutoring sessions to help students navigate the writing process.
- Attend regular training meetings and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Must be enrolled as a student at Clayton State University.
- Must have completed ENGL 1101 and ENGL 1102 with a minimum grade of B.
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to take the initiative in collaborative projects.
- Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
