Active Directory Site Reliability Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Active Directory Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Identity Systems team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating large-scale Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and highly available AD DS environments to support Microsoft's cloud services.
- Develop and maintain software solutions to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Microsoft's Identity services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve platform, system, deployment, and environmental issues prior to production release.
- Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
- Communicate technical information to stakeholders and apply advanced diagnostic expertise during service issues to restore service with minimal disruption to the customer and business.
Requirements
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Practical experience operating and designing AD DS environments, including LDAP, Kerberos, Windows NTLM, Group Policy, Windows Time, Trusts, Delegation, and Replication.
- Industry experience with PowerShell scripting/programming languages and understanding of network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP and DNS.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive.
