Position Overview
Kansas City Behavioral Health Holdco is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and driven Behavioral Support Specialists to provide essential care and assistance to our clients aged 5 to 21 years within our educational program.
Key Responsibilities
As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will support individuals facing developmental challenges by applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will be instrumental in implementing the Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP) tailored to each student, helping them achieve their behavioral and academic objectives outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 to $20.00, with starting pay reflecting your experience in the fields of developmental disabilities, behavioral health, and education.
*We offer 80 hours of fully paid training at your regular hourly rate—no prior experience required.*
Consideration for pay will also be given for relevant college education.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM
*This is a year-round position with scheduled extended weekends and breaks.*

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or Paraprofessional certification
- Preferred: Related college coursework or degree
- Preferred: One year of experience in a related field
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment under strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to overcome challenges to ensure program success.
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
