Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through connections with real estate agents, builders, existing clients, and influential networks to secure residential mortgage applications.
  • Facilitate loan origination; guide clients through the application process.
  • Provide consultations and insights on mortgage processes, clarifying expectations, timelines, and requirements.
  • Evaluate borrower qualifications; conduct credit checks; utilize Automated Underwriting Systems; determine loan pricing.
  • Collaborate with processing teams to gather necessary documentation; maintain communication with clients, processors, and lenders until loan closure.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience, surpassing customer expectations and fostering satisfaction.
  • Create and uphold a personalized business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Possession of or willingness to obtain an active NMLS Mortgage Originator License in Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in Mortgage Loan Origination or a related sales role.
  • Current and active pipeline demonstrating the funding of two loans per month is essential.
  • Experience working with first-time home buyers is preferred.
  • Strong sales and marketing abilities, including the capacity to cultivate new business through networking and referrals.
  • Commitment to honesty and ethical dealings with clients, colleagues, and business partners to achieve objectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of loan regulations and federal and state guidelines.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills; ability to effectively analyze and resolve issues at a functional level.
