Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales Representative who is passionate about sales, wants a challenge, and has a strong work ethic. This is a territory-based, outside sales role with around 25% travel and an opportunity for a hybrid schedule. The ideal individual will play a pivotal role on our sales team, responsible for driving revenue and market expansion within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for their assigned market(s), including prospecting new customers, developing existing relationships, closing sales, and processing orders as needed.
- Develop and execute sales strategy for their assigned market to meet company-defined sales goals.
- Utilize marketing materials, corporate website, demos, and quotations to enhance the sales process.
- Recommend pricing strategies to the company.
- Partner with the engineering department when necessary to aid in the development of new products or modification of existing products based on customer needs.
- Partner with the marketing department, as necessary, to develop and strengthen marketing materials for sales opportunities.
- Document sales activity in a customer relationship management tool.
- Utilize inside sales and sales support specialists to facilitate the sales cycle.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work independently.
- Sales management and marketing skills.
- Strategic and creative thinker.
- CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel within the territory.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; secondary education preferred.
- 3 years of successful sales and territory management, with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in transportation sales preferred.
- Exposure to consultative sales, spin selling, and/or Sandler selling methodologies preferred.
- Consumer electronics and/or software experience preferred.
