Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be appointed jointly between the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

The Professor will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in computational geosciences, developing and advancing innovative approaches, and applying them to real-world problems. They will also be expected to teach and mentor students, as well as contribute to the department's and institute's research and service missions.

Requirements

A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. The successful applicant is expected to establish a vibrant, externally funded research program and have a strong track record of publication and research impact.
