Your primary duties will include performing fieldwork and other analytics related to water resources, groundwater flow, water quality, recharge, and other aspects of the water cycle that influence long-term water resource availability. You will also be responsible for building and managing a research program, developing new funding opportunities, and interacting with funding agencies.

In addition to your research responsibilities, you will be expected to teach courses and develop curriculum in the areas of hydrology and hydrogeology at the Jackson School of Geosciences. You will also be responsible for mentoring students toward graduation and providing service to professional societies, the Bureau of Economic Geology, and the Jackson School of Geosciences.

To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD in Geosciences, Hydrology/Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline. You will also need 10 or more years of industry and/or academic experience, including supervising or managing complex research projects.

* Record of project leadership success with interdisciplinary teams
