Role Overview: In this role, you will oversee the daily operations and development of the accounting and administrative team while collaborating closely with the operations department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide the accounting team to ensure effective support for operational activities.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to the accounting function.
  • Provide comprehensive accounting support, including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management, job costing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure precise recording and recognition of revenue.
  • Drive process enhancements and assist in contract bid preparations.
  • Create and manage contracts and projects within the ERP system.
  • Oversee the transition from bid to contract within the CRM.
  • Ensure compliance with customer contracts and facilitate communication between area operations and corporate offices.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to both area and corporate leadership, highlighting project performance variances on a regular basis.
  • Manage staffing requirements for accounting and administrative functions.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of accounting documents.
  • Ensure all internal and external audit requests are met and maintain SOX compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related field.
