Role Overview: In this role, you will oversee the daily operations and development of the accounting and administrative team while collaborating closely with the operations department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and guide the accounting team to ensure effective support for operational activities.
- Develop, implement, and uphold policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to the accounting function.
- Provide comprehensive accounting support, including accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management, job costing, and inventory management.
- Ensure precise recording and recognition of revenue.
- Drive process enhancements and assist in contract bid preparations.
- Create and manage contracts and projects within the ERP system.
- Oversee the transition from bid to contract within the CRM.
- Ensure compliance with customer contracts and facilitate communication between area operations and corporate offices.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to both area and corporate leadership, highlighting project performance variances on a regular basis.
- Manage staffing requirements for accounting and administrative functions.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of accounting documents.
- Ensure all internal and external audit requests are met and maintain SOX compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in accounting, administration, operations, or a related field.
