Position Summary: We are in search of a seasoned Program Manager to oversee and coordinate various programs. The successful candidate will offer strategic direction to teams and project managers, fostering a culture aligned with our organizational values. Additionally, you will monitor operational progress to ensure alignment with our goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities and possess experience in managing diverse teams to achieve timely results. You will also be responsible for formulating effective strategies and tactics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns.
  • Supervise projects and staff to guarantee deliverables are achieved.
  • Enhance productivity, quality, and customer service standards by identifying issues, conducting audits, recognizing trends, and implementing improvements.
  • Achieve financial targets by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures.
  • Engage with stakeholders to review program status and objectives.
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of programs.
  • Organize and oversee interconnected projects.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management principles to ensure program success.
  • Generate monthly and annual reports for clients.
  • Coordinate daily activities in alignment with organizational and client goals.
  • Lead, evaluate, and support project managers and designated staff.
  • Analyze program performance and devise strategies to maximize return on investment.
  • Recommend sustainable objectives for the organization.
  • Communicate team expectations through planning, monitoring, and reviewing contributions from team members.
  • Enhance the reputation of the department and organization by taking ownership of new and diverse requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Program or Multi-Project Manager.
  • Expertise in project/program management methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Experience in creating and managing various project management tools (e.g., Basecamp, MS Project).
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in performance and profitability management.
  • Effective task scheduling and management skills.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Skills in cost control and budgeting.
  • Capability to identify and facilitate training sessions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance, if required.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred (from an accredited institution).
  • A minimum of 8 years of proven project management experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Experience related to the Department of Defense preferred (including military, civil service, or defense contracting).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma certifications are advantageous.
